Located on a gently rolling hill in the heart of Tuscany, at just 5 minutes from Empoli, between Florence, Pisa and Siena, this holiday farmhouse is part of a 17th century wine estate, which produces an excellent Chianti wine, Vin Santo dessert wine and a fragrant olive oil. The property consists of three farmhouses: one where the owners live, the nearby Casale La Colonica with reception, wine shop and on the first floor three holiday flats, and at 300 m Casale del Torrino, near the swimming pool (12x6 m, open May-September) with 4 flats, 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first one. Each apartment is furnished in the typical Tuscan style and has its own private space in the garden. Available to guests are also a barbecue, car park and wine and olive oil tasting.
The position of these holiday homes in Chianti is ideal for a quiet and relaxing vacation in touch with nature, surrounded by the typical Tuscan landscape made of vineyards and olive groves. It is also a perfect point of departure for visiting the beautiful attractions of the Chianti region as well as most Tuscan art centres. Leonardo’s hometown, Vinci, is at 15 km, Certaldo at 20 km, Florence is at only 28 km, San Gimignano at 35 km, Volterra at 45 km, Pisa at 55 km and Siena at 65 km.
